Nutrition counselor and CNS CERTIFIED
(Clinical Nutrition Specialist)
I’m Elizabeth
I’m a Nutritionist and Clinical Nutrition Specialist (CNS) candidate with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Nutrition. My work is inspired by both personal experience and professional training that emphasizes a whole systems approach to health and nutrition.
Like many people living with autoimmune disease, I spent years navigating a series of seemingly unrelated symptoms, painful conditions, frustrating medical appointments, and unanswered questions. After extensive research, persistence, and the support of the right healthcare team, I was ultimately diagnosed with Sjögren’s disease.
That experience changed the way I think about health. It taught me how challenging it can be to navigate complex symptoms, conflicting information, the dizzying world of social media and a healthcare system that often has limited time to explore the full picture.
Autoimmune disease has also affected multiple generations of my family, including my parents, brothers and my daughter. Through these personal experiences, I was inspired to pursue advanced training in nutrition and ultimately earn a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition, with a focus on autoimmune disease and the ways nutrition can support the quality of life in individuals people living with complex chronic conditions.
I believe in establishing a trusting relationship with my clients and learning about the detailed and unique picture that is each person. I enjoy working with people to build interventions that are individualized, and sustainable. There is no single approach that works for everyone, and meaningful change often begins with understanding the whole person rather than focusing on isolated symptoms.
When I’m not working with clients, you’ll usually find me enjoying (not so) quiet time with my family and our very spoiled cat.
